It rained on the original day we had planned their fall engagement session and they really wanted more sunny pictures than cloudy and rainy. So when we rescheduled, it was for a morning shoot instead of afternoon and I have to say that I love the light at Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve in the morning!! It is really gorgeous!! I had a great time getting to know you and can’t wait for your wedding!

Jannae and Kevin wanted a combination of an urban and beach engagement session. So we started at Balboa Park and then headed over to Scripps Pier to finish it off. On our way to the pier, the marine layer was coming in and very thick. So, unfortunately, we didn’t get a sunset, but the lighting still made some amazing photos! At the end of the session, they decided to walk under some water that was pouring down from the pier. What an awesome way to end the session!!

Michelle works at the old court house in downtown and she loves the architecture inside. It was also going to be in the hot summer, so she figured inside would be the best! 🙂 This was my first time inside this building and it was amazing inside. After we took photos inside, they changed and we went outside for a brief few minutes in the heat to get a couple of outside shots as well. Check out the photos from this cool urban engagement session.

Brett is a hiker and Keristi is not, but she still really wanted a Superstition Mountain engagement session! She was raised in Mesa and has always loved the look of the mountains around sunset time! We got there a little early for the light, but just chatted until it was the optimum lighting time for that that golden type look on the mountains!

They chose two places to give them a mix of a beach and urban engagement session!! We started out at Balboa Park and then headed over to Ocean Beach. It turned out to be a cold day on the beach, but they were troopers and were even okay with getting wet. I loved getting to know them better and am excited for their wedding in October!!

I photographed their family session last summer right after they moved to Phoenix area. So when they got engaged, they called me right away to hire me for their wedding! They decided they wanted to show off the area in their engagement photos, so we decided to a desert themed engagement session. They are such a fun couple and easy going! I loved getting to know them more and am excited for their wedding in August!!

There are so many cool spots to take pictures at this Boojum Tree engagement session! They are getting married there in March and as part of the package, they are allowed to get their engagement pictures there as well. I love all of the different photo spots available, it’s a great mix of styles! I had a great time getting to know them better and can’t wait for their wedding in a few weeks!
